Built in 1948 to reflect the Moorish style of the 50’s and situated
on the main seafront facing the old port and the entrance to the ancient
Medina. The hotel has a large swimming pool and gardens in a tranquil
setting. Orson Welles stayed at the hotel during the filming of Othello
in 1952. The foyer, bar and Royale Suite are named in his honour.
