Once the palace of a Pasha and built just inside the ancient fortified
walls, the Palais Salam has stunningly beautiful gardens where the holidaymaker
is immediately drawn as if by magic into another world. So much has been
preserved of the style and graciousness of this ancient building that
you can almost imagine what it is like to be the guest of the noblemen
who once resided here. Of course the buildings have been sympathetically
restored. Rooms and suites are in traditional Moorish style. These create
a really exciting and memorable experience. This is perfect for those
who want to 'getaway'.
The Palais Salam has 120 air-conditioned rooms and suites, each with
phone and bathroom, all set among the towers and pavilions of colourful
and lush Andalusian gardens. Some of the old wing rooms were built in
the 16th century. An additional supplement is payable for the superior
new wing rooms which have TV and minibar. The swimming pool area is especially
beautiful, set among palms and vegetation that drape themselves over it
like a canopy. Facilities include international and Moroccan restaurants,
two pool bars, two swimming pools, boutique and conference facilities.
