The itinerary is considered as the ‘grand classic’ of the
guided tours of Morocco and can suit all types of traveller profile. It
is an enjoyable tour which gives a somewhat comprehensive overview of
the various facets of Morocco’s arts, culture and diversity of the
country’s unique sights.
Saturday – Flight London to Casablanca
Arrival at Casablanca Mohamed V airport. Welcome, assistance and transfer
to the hotel in Casablanca for check-in, dinner and overnight accommodation.
Sunday – Casablanca to Rabat
Breakfast and meeting with tour guide before departure at 9.30 am for
sightseeing Casablanca, the business capital of Morocco, with external
visit to the Hassan II great mosque before strolling along the Ain Diab
Corniche. Break for lunch (*) followed by departure to Rabat.
Visit to the administrative capital of Morocco with the splendid Mohamed
V Mausoleum. Check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Monday – Rabat to Meknes to Fes
After breakfast departure to Fes with a stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis
and the sacred town of Moulay Idriss. Break for lunch (*) followed by
departure to Meknes, the Moroccan Versailles, which was founded at the
end of the 17th century by Moulay Asmail. The sightseeing will include
Bab Mansour, Hari Souani and the old medina. Continuing to Fes for check-in
at hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Tuesday – Fes
The whole day is devoted to the sightseeing of Fes, the oldest cultural
and spiritual city of Morocco. You will see craftsmen working in the age
old traditional ways with the possibility of buying items of local manufacture.
Break for lunch (*) with continuation of the tour in the afternoon. Return
to hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Wednesday – Fes to Beni-Mellal to Marrakech
After breakfast departure to Marrakech passing by Immouzer El Kander and
Azrou which is known for its handicraft cooperative. Journey through the
wooded and mountainous region of the middle Atlas Mountains before arrival
at Beni-Mellal. Break for lunch (*) before continuation of Marrakech.
Check-in hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Thursday – Marrakech
The day is devoted to the visit of Marrakech, the second oldest of the
imperial cities, known as the 'Pearl of the South' with Saadian Tombs,
the Koutoubia Tower, the Bahia Palace and the Menara Gardens. Return to
the hotel for lunch (*). In the afternoon exploration of the souks and
the Djemaa El Fna square with its various entertainments. In the evening
dinner is taken in caidal tents at the 'Chez Ali Fantasia' while watching
folklore groups from different regions and horsemen. Return to the hotel
for overnight accommodation.
Friday – Marrakech to Casablanca
After breakfast a free morning for relaxation by the pool or for further
exploration. After lunch (*) departure for Casablanca via Settat followed
by check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Saturday – Flight Casablanca to London
After breakfast depart hotel for transfer to Casablanca Mohamed V airport
with assistance to the boarding formalities.
