This itinerary provides the opportunity to experience life in the vibrant
city of Marrakech and to discover the Moroccan South and the Gateway to
the Desert!
Saturday – Flight London to Marrakech
Arrival at Marrakech Menara airport. Welcome, assistance and transfer
to the hotel in Marrakech for check-in, dinner and overnight accommodation.
Sunday – Marrakech
The day will be devoted to the visit of Marrakech, the second oldest imperial
city, known as the 'Pearl of the South' with the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia
Tower, the Bahia Palace and the Menara Gardens. Break for lunch (*) followed
by exploration of the souks and the Djemaa El Fna square with its various
entertainments. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Optional: Chez Alli dinner Fantasia
Monday – Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou to Ouarzazate
After breakfast depart to Ouarzazate via Taddert and the Tiz-n-Tichka
pass (2260m) and the tarred road to Kasbah Telouat. Break for lunch (*)
and visit to the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou before continuing on to Ouarzazate.
Check-in at hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Tuesday – Ouarzazate To Zagora
After breakfast a tour of Ouarzazate with visits to the Tifoultout and
Taouirt Kasbahs then depart for Zagora down the Draa valley via Agdz.
Break for lunch (*). In the afternoon discovery of the sand dunes of Tinfou
and the famous library of Tamegroute. Arrive at Zagora and check-in at
hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Wednesday – Zagora to Alnif to Erfoud
After breakfast depart to Erfoud via Tazzarine and Alnif through the Saghro
mountains. Break for lunch (*) and carry along the route to Erfoud passing
by Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. On arrival at Erfoud
we make an orientation tour before check-in at hotel for dinner.
Optional: Bivouac at dunes of Merzouga
Thursday – Erfoud to Tineghir to Ouarzazate
After breakfast depart to Tineghir via Tinejdad road passing by Ksar Touarig.
Visit the Todra gorges with their impressive escarpments. Break for lunch
(*) and continuation to Ouarzazate through the Dades valley and El Kelaa
M'gouna. Arrive at hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight accommodation.
Friday – Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Breakfast and morning at leisure. After lunch (*) depart for Marrakech
via the tarred road. Arrive at hotel for check-in, dinner and overnight
accommodation.
Saturday – Flight Marrakech to London
After breakfast depart hotel for transfer to Marrakech airport with assistance
to the boarding facilities.

Optional: Bivouac at dunes of Merzouga
Alternative to the nights stay in Erfoud an excursion by
Land Rover with qualified drive/guide to the Merzouga dunes and overnight
stay with dinner in bivouac. Minimum of 4 persons required. See price
panel for supplement.
