Day 1: To Tangiers
Direct flight from London to Tangiers. Two nights Hotel El Minzah

Day 2: Full day City tour of Tangiers
Full day tour of this intriguing city. Today, Tangiers is a modern cosmopolitan city with a long and fascinating past.  Visit the Grand Socco - a vast marketplace dominated on the south-west by the minaret of Sidi Abib Mosque. The square is considered the centre of Tangiers and is an ideal place to wander before visiting the Medina to hunt for bargains – arts, crafts and trinkets. Visit the intriguing American Legation’s museum highlighting relations between the two countries, and the Place de France with its breathtaking views towards Spain.

Day 3: To Laranche excursion to Lixus
Lixus was part of a chain of Phoenician/Carthaginian settlements along theAtlantic coastline. When Carthage fell to Ancient Rome, Lixus became an Imperial Roman outpost. Today only a fragment of the city has been excavated: - the amphitheatre is small, by Roman standards, but has wonderful views of the River Loukkos! Behind the stage the baths have lovely mosaics, whilst others can be found scattered amongst the ruins. A garam processing plant can still be seen (a salty paste made from the intestines of anchovy used in cooking) The Christian basilica is small, primitive and unadorned.

Day 4: To Fez      
After breakfast drive to Fez, Two nights Riad Fez.

Day 5: Full day City tour of Fez
The oldest of the Imperial cities, Fez is home to one of the oldest university of the country and is the leading cultural and religious centre. The Medina of Fez el Bali is one of the oldest medieval cities in the world and still has an incredible vibrancy. Its winding streets are lined with Mosques, Palaces and shops -look out for the delightful blue and white Fez pottery Visit the King’s Palace and the Bou Inania Madrasa.

Day 6: To Rabat via Volubilis
Explore the intriguing 2000-year-old ruins of the vast city – glimpse the rich heritage of this far outpost of Rome, which was most probably a Carthaginian city, dating from 3rd C. BC. Volubilis was a major administrative city and responsible for grain production and exportation in this fertile region.  The forum of Volubilis is typical of a Roman town, the columns, still standing, are impressively high. The mosaics are of a fine quality. Overnight Tour Hassan.

Day 7: To Casablanca
Drive to Casablanca with afternoon City tour to explore the city famed by the charismatic movie ‘ Casablanca with Lauren Bacal and Humphrey Bogart.

Day 8: To London
Transfer to the airport for direct flight to London.
