Marrakech – Marrakech City Tour – Ouirgane (Atlas foothills) - Essaouria

Day 1: To Marrakech
Direct flight from London to Marrakech. Transfer to the hotel. 2 nights at the Riad Noga.
Day 2: Full day City tour of Marrakech
Visits include the beautiful Medina - the celebrated Koutoubia Minaret, (it’s considered to be one of the most outstanding examples of Islamic architecture) the Kasbah, the 16th C. Saadian Tombs and the Koutoubia Mosque. Bargain hunt in the Jemaa El Fna Square with its shops and lovely old buildings.
Day 3: To Ouirgane
Drive by 4x4 through ever changing countryside to the Atlas Mountains to stay in the rustic ‘auberge’, Le Bergerie, set in 12 acres of grounds in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Two nights stay Le Bergerie.
Day 4: at leisure
Day to enjoy the beauty of the land, perhaps walking though the tranquil countryside, relaxing by the swimming pool or hiring mountain bikes to explore the surrounding area.
Day 5 – 7: To Essaouria
Leave the mountains and drive to the coast to spend a few days at the lovely 18th century Riad, the Villa De L’O, only is a few metres from the beach and souks. The hotel is delightful and has retained all its wonderful original features: ageless stone walls, sculptured wood and uses sumptuous fabrics to add richness and texture. Relax in the Hammam and have a massage, wander the nearby souks or use one of the hotels bicycles to explore the city. Plunge into the azure seas or simply unwind in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. Three night stay at the Villa de L’O.
Day 8: To London
Transfer to the airport in Marrakech for direct return flight to London. |
