Kasbah Toubkal

Stunningly situated on a mountain ridge with breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains, the hotel offers guests a unique experience. The Kasbah is a ‘living’ place – not a traditional stiff and starchy hotel. Here guests interact with the staff and experience genuine Berber hospitality. The hotel is reached by a short walk (15 min) or mule ride from the village of Imlil, 40 miles from Marrakech in the Ait Mizane valley.
The accommodation ranges from original rooms in the Kasbah used as ‘Berber salons’ for family occupancy, and for school, trekking or walking groups. In the garden there are delightful ensuite rooms. The Garden House includes a superb apartment with wonderful views of the beautiful mountain landscape. There are no phones or TV, but, in this wilderness who needs to be distracted from the glorious countryside?

The food is simple but tasty Moroccan cuisine. For spectacular views dine on the ‘Terrace’. Although there is no bar, guests can ‘bring their own’ alcoholic beverages.

After a long day’s trek unwind in the traditional Berber-style Hammam. The area is perfect for walking with many local villages to explore, or, for serious trekking, climb to the top of the highest peak in Morocco – Mount Toubkal.
