Day 1: To Marrakech
Direct flight to Marrakech from London. Transfer to the hotel. Two nights at the Riad Kniza.
Day 2: Full day Marrakech City Tour
Full day city tour to explore the fascinating history of Marrakech. Visits will include the Saadian Tombs - the Mausoleum of 66 kings from the Saadian dynasty, the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Mosque and the magnificent Ibn Youssef Medersa: the largest in Morocco. Spend time in the famous Jamaâ El Fna Square with its surrounding souks and handicraft quarters – ideal for gifts and souvenirs.
Day 3: To Ourika Valley
Morning drive to the eco-friendly hotel Kasbah Bab Ourika built using traditional Berber methods of rammed earth. It also utilises solar heating. Scenically perched on a hilltop, the hotel has fantastic views of the surrounding verdant land and river valley below - framed by the Atlas Mountains. The ingredients for the cuisine are, as far as possible, sourced locally, and the chef specialises in traditional Berber fare. Two nights at the Kasbah Bab Ourika.
Day 4: Ourika Valley
Full day at leisure to relax in lovely surrounding, perhaps by the swimming pool, out walking in the delightful countryside, visiting the Berber Market (Monday’s only) or local Saffron farms. Depending upon the season hiking, skiing, rafting or horse riding can be arranged.
Day 5: To London via Marrakech
Return to Marrakech for return direct flight to London
